For the 4th day of Fashion Week, I decided to wear this new top I picked up while shopping around New York. I know it might seem strange to still be shopping for fashion week while it’s actually happening, but I had the unfortunate incident of having multiple packages stolen from my own front door, and wanted to complete a couple of looks I had in mind. I was so excited about this knit when I saw it. It looks expensive, yet classic and on trend. The stripe pattern is modern, but still gives sportswear vibes. Continue Reading…

On Day 3 of New York Fashion Week, I decided to wear one of the most applicable fall/winter trends for someone who lives in hot climates: Winter Florals. We saw beautiful belts, cinching waist lines and red looks dominating Fall/Winter 2017 runway back in February and New York Fashion Week was the perfect opportunity to combine all 3 into one outfit. Best Gucci Inspired Pieces for Under $100

I will admit that when Alessandro Michele stepped in as the Creative Director for Gucci, I was really shocked by the direction the brand was going. As someone who loves romance with a bit of edge, I wasn’t immediately sold, but with time, I grew to really love and appreciate the refreshing approach of what I tend to call “geek-chic” glamour. Pre-Fall ’17 had some great pieces that won me over. The bold patterns and sporty elements of Gucci really drew me in. Inspired by the mixed prints from the most recent collections, and the silver pleated from Fall/Winter ’16, this look came into fruition. Continue Reading…

When I was a young teen, I would ride the streetcar after school 15 minutes away into Downtown Toronto. Located on the longest street in the world and in the heart of the city, I would make my way through the busy intersection and into Eaton’s Centre, the ever-so-popular mall, and shop. Even through my University years, I continued my old habits of shopping there. I often went with a close friend of mine and we would grab coffee and window shop. She always made sure we went into Banana Republic to take a look at the jewelry and clothes. Continue Reading…
