When I was a young teen, I would ride the streetcar after school 15 minutes away into Downtown Toronto. Located on the longest street in the world and in the heart of the city, I would make my way through the busy intersection and into Eaton’s Centre, the ever-so-popular mall, and shop. Even through my University years, I continued my old habits of shopping there. I often went with a close friend of mine and we would grab coffee and window shop. She always made sure we went into Banana Republic to take a look at the jewelry and clothes.
Banana Republic might very well be one of the most popular professional apparel brands to shop at in Canada and the United States. Always feminine, yet classic. The bases of all great style is having quality, timeless pieces, and of course, Banana Republic has always been a fantastic source for those.
In this post, I am showing two dresses I wore in the day time for the weekend. The first one is the denim dress with a bow.
A shoulder-baring dress is great for summer. Most women would probably wear this denim dress with a pair of heels, earrings and a great bag, but I went with embroidered sneakers and my fun rose framed sunglasses. When the temperature drops, I’ll be wearing this dress with a pair of wear dark wide leg jeans, high heels and statement bag.
The rose framed sunglasses I’ve had for over a year and have only shown on my Instagram. Follow me there if you haven’t because I post all my purchases there first. so they’re hard to find now. Link to those sunglasses available here.
The coral shirt dress is perfect for a day to night look at the office. I imagine many women wearing this dress on its own with jewelry, shoes and a bag, but when I saw this, I immediately envisioned 3 ways of wearing this and today I’m sharing this one.
Taking more of a weekender-style approach, I opened up most of the dress and wore it more like a dress coat with distressed denim, my pearl slides and once again my vintage Chanel bag for that city-girl street-chic look. To shop the looks, click on the links below.
