New York Fashion Week has arrived and I decided to kick off my visit for the Spring/Summer 2018 runway shows with one of my brightest and colorful outfits for Day 2 of New York Fashion Week. These photos were taken in Soho just before my first show of the day.
I have an obsession with mixed prints right now, and having lived in Japan, I immediately snatched this skirt up with “Japan” written across it. I wanted to highlight a couple of the colors on the skirt, wearing a red and white top and a pink fur clutch for texture. The faux fur clutch, you’ve seen styled in a different way in this blog post here. It’s a vintage piece that was remade into a bag.
The sunglasses made an appearance on my Instagram here and again on the blog talking about Weekend Style here. The Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are from a prior season but having fun is always in style, so to me, they’re perfect for setting the tone for a happy and eventful day.
I finished off a busy look with a pair of classic suede Giorgio Armani blush pumps, which you’ve seen me wear over and over – one being my favourite classic evening looks, here. Always invest in a great pair of classic shoes and they’ll take you places. I’d certainly wear them with the bright blue Valentino Rockstuds I purchased years ago, as seen in this blog post here, too, but I decided not to pack them on this trip.
