I’m currently seated on the beach in South beach Miami and am loving the beautiful summer weather we’ve received already. In no time, it’ll be sticky and humid so I’m taking advantage of the small transitional weather where can wear a jacket without melting like an ice cream cone on a hot summer day. This past weekend I wore this summer suit paired with a cropped tee.
If you remember on IG stories back in October 2017 right after the Spring Summer collections I wore a full pink suit as a guest style speaker at a Banana Republic event. It’s an ongoing trend that doesn’t show signs of dying any time soon. The suit trend is probably something many of you actually love. So many people work in a professional environment and the colourful suits are both professional and fun, especially in varying colors and patterns. Finally something that is classy that you can feel chic, mature, trendy and feel confident about wearing to work. Take on a more effortless casual look in the evening with sneakers or relaxing flats.
Dressing comfortably is something I always try to do, and when it came to my career, going to work in professional yet stylish attire was something I always tried to do, even if I didn’t always do it successfully. We often don’t get dealt the perfect hand in life, but when we plan and design our lives to be the best that it can be, we can always say we tried our best and look forward. If you’re a driven individual who wants to succeed, you likely have a great blazer or two in the closet and feel comfortable getting dressed to get down to business. As I had previously mentioned in Top 3 Tips on Building Self Confidence, dressing your best can change your mindset for the day. The great thing about a suit is that you can mix and match the separates instead of wearing them as a set. I’ve linked some great suits with shorts rather than full length trousers. If you work in an environment that has a stricter dress code and short isn’t quite right for your office, I’ve included some other summer suit options below.
