BHVxMarais VIP Salon Paris

During Paris Fashion Week, my girlfriends and I were ready for a little bit of down time. We headed over to the BHV in Marais for a quick pampering session. We met with the team in their VIP Salon who walked us through some beautiful products, including Sisley Paris’ beauty line and Kure Bazaar. It’s such a cute space to rest. If you ever purchase one of their shopping experiences, I recommend stopping in for a rest.

Being on your feet and running from place to place for hours a day can be exciting, but also exhausting for your feet. It was so nice to sit down and have a quick touch up between shows. Surprisingly, my skin was holding up really well during fashion month. When I moved from East Coast Canada to West Coast USA, my skin blew up with cystic acne that I haven’t been able to control since leaving Toronto, but funny enough, when I am in London or Paris, my face starts to clears up. With finnicky skin, I was really thrilled to have a chat with the Sisley Paris team about their skincare products, and if you watch my Instastories, I started using the Black Rose Moisturizer, which is probably one of the lightest moisturizers I’ve ever used on my face, but is fast absorbing and just a couple of drops go a long way.

Kure Bazaar Paris was showing their Fall season nail polish, and seeing how my hands were starting to look completely mistreated from a month of travel, I welcomed the idea of an all natural moisturizing Brazilian hand treatment. The Natural Manicure Ritual packages include 2 plastic gloves filled with with moisturizer made with all natural ingredients. After squeezing that through the fingers of the glove, I slid my hands in to lock in moisturizer for 5 minutes. These come with a small file that allowed me to clean up the skin around my nails and prep for a manicure through the plastic.. When I removed those gloves, I couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt. It was absolutely heavenly, and I’d love to use this for my travels! They’re not available in the US yet, but a girl can hope they come out soon! In the meantime, I am obsessed with the concept! I might have to create my own concoction of this smart hand moisturizing routine until I see it being sold in US or Canada.

We had an hour to walk around after the event, so we took a stroll through Le Marais and walked by Notre Dame before seeing our final show of the day. I’ll be doing a round up of what areas are great to see in Paris, where to shop, stay and favourite spots I always have to go to when I return to one of the most romantic cities in the world.
