The 70’s and 80’s trend is still going strong and it’s all about the neckline and shoulders. There are so many great options, and I’m kicking off the week with a crisp white shirt that is versatile enough to go with a variety of patterns and colours. If you haven’t already, it’s a great time to take out some of your mother’s old clothes and make them new again.
I originally thought of wearing this outfit in Miami but never got around to it. It has a nice breezy vacation vibe to it that I love. There are days I just don’t want to bare my shoulders, and if that’s the case for you as well, these statement shoulders combined with square or sweetheart necklines will likely become one of your summer favourites. They are fantastic for creating the illusion of cut deltoids and with extra width in the shoulders, they give he illusion of a smaller waist to create the hourglass shape.
I love one that shows a little bit of my mid-drift for the summer to pair with a higher waisted pant like these floral ones inspired by Zimmermann. However, there are so many great options for tops and dresses with these sleeves and necklines that come in a variety of colours, lengths and styles. I’ve linked some great options to shop below.
Are you wearing these necklines? Which one do you like or prefer? I’d love to hear in your comments below. For more inspiration on style and travel, follow me on Bloglovin♥, Twitter and Instagram. Don’t forget to subscribe to my mailing list for special announcements and exclusive content.
