Paris Fashion Week SS18 Day 1

I arrived in Paris with a mix of nervousness and excitement. It was my first time travelling to Paris alone, and in complete disbelief, for fashion week. In my prior visits to this beautiful city, the temperatures had been cool, and so I packed coats, blazers, jackets, hats and faux fur.

As I mentioend in a prior post, metallic boots are very trendy for this season. On the runway, we saw Chanel’s glittery boots and a lot of galactical inspirations across multiple designers in Italy and Paris, so it’s going to be around for a little while. Colored fur is also one that really stood out. Since it’s still too warm to wear a full colored (faux) fur coat, I wraped a colored stole over my shoulders and added a statement belt.

In Paris, I always like to walk everywhere, and luckily the silver chunky heels from EGO Official, kept my feet comfortable. You’ll have seen them in my prior posts for London Fashion Week here and New York Fashion Week here. My feet started swelling from hours of walking and standing, even when they didn’t hurt. These boots were perfectc to wear over and over again because of how roomy they were in the front. If you ever have a hard pointed heels online because they squish your feet, I’d recommend these ones!
I started out with coffee in Marais with my girlfriends and when it came time for the show, we split and I walked 45 minutes to my first show.  I met with Stella of Stella Asteria at the show. Her hubby took these beautiful photos.  Both of them are such lovely people. In my 15 years in fashion, this experienced topped them all. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Attending shows and being in Paris with friends has been a dream. It’s always an incredible honor and blessing.

Even for fashion week, I always find it’s good to mix new additions from the closet with some old favourites. My entire outfit, other than my shoes and sunglasses are from a prior seasons. The sunglasses are from Miu Miu, which I wore here and here, and linked here.
