One of the highlights of Milan Fashion Week was having the pleasure of seeing the SS18 Furla Collection, titled #FurlaMagicTales, in person. Upon stepping ihe venue, is an invitation to indulge in your childhood self. A small group of swings for you to sway along with staff offering you a gelato. Afterall, what is magic without some childhood indulgence? The setting for FurlaMagicTakes is really beautiful. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Interior are adorned with beautiful fireplaces, that very French style wallpaper, marbled floors and crown moulding that brings your eyes to the ceilings. In each room, a display of intricately designed bags. In my experience with Furla, theyve stayed very classic and elegant, and in the latest collection, the brand introduced metallic brocades, large bags perfect for a stylish jetsetter.
Much of the smaller bags had embroidered detail, playful shoulder straps using crystals, feathers and appliques in various colors and designs. The collection is truly dedicated to a multifaceted woman and the designs are fun, exciting and beautiful. I love that there is a great sense of customization. With bag straps, you can usually remove and add one that you love.
I have always loved feathers (you can see my favourite feather belt which I’d worn in a prior blog post here),, so I am always easily woo-ed by that kind of delicate detail. There were 52 new bags in the collection, and I adore the detail, but even more so that there is some level of customization. The Italian brand truly has made it so that women can express their own personal style.
I have numerous favourites in this collection. I love the large detailed bags for travelling. They’re a great size for packing flight essentials. You already know I’m obsessed with the feather strap as well. I am so excited to add a couple to my bag collection when they released. Which is your favourite of all the bags I’ve featured?
