Inspiring Quotes on Beauty to Live By

When I was a young girl, I was very fortunate to learn early on what beauty truly meant. My parents and older sister somehow instilled in us self-value and confidence. I’d be lying if I told you my mom wore make-up. She didn’t. While I am guilty of acknowledging I don’t always feel my very best – pushed out with regular bouts of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and constant bloating (I seriously need to get back to eating cleaner) however, I don’t believe that really affects how beautiful I am, and those similar things that side track you from remembering how beautiful each one of YOU are, should not as well. They should just be an indication on making small changes that improve how you feel, not how beautiful you are. Your beauty comes from how you treat yourself and others. It starts with your soul and personality; how you make people feel, your values, confidence, selflessness, integrity, thoughtfulness and behaviour.

Having recently collaborated with two companies that have an incredible outlook on what beauty truly means, I felt so empowered to share my own outlook on beauty with you.

And please, don’t get me wrong, beauty is important to me in many ways, but it always starts from the inside first. Everything else is a bonus. How we feel is often a reflection of how well we treat ourselves and that often means being physically feeling energized, getting into a positive mental space, physically finding things that fit all your own right curves, a little something extra, like a bold red lip, color to the cheek, and things to already elevate how you should already feel.

Just because someone does not find something beautiful does not make it ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and exists everywhere. Sometimes it just takes longer for some to find beauty in everything they see. Finally, you cannot expect people to find you beautiful if you do not as well, so remember to uncover your beauty and own it.
