15 Most Instagrammable and Photogenic Spots in LA

This past week, I took a very short trip back to my old stomping grounds in Santa Monica and felt such a pang of sadness knowing that I was only returning for a visit. I flew in to support Tom in competition, so had little time to pop by my favourite spots. While I got an hour here and there to visit Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, it got me thinking of all the cutest places to take some iconic photos. Today, I’m sharing 15 great places to take quintessential LA photos in below’s most instagrammable spots.

Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills
If you love fashion, or shopping luxury, a trip to LA is not complete without a visit to Beverly Hills. While there, snapping a photo by Rodeo Drive is a must. During your visit. you can expect to see rare or unique luxury cars parked in the area or driving by.

Alfred’s Tea
If you haven’t seen this place on Instagram, you could be living under a rock. This spot is known for its pink store front. Small, but quaint but has soon good bubble tea and is near some great shops.

Venice Beach Sign
The Venice beach sign is located near. There are also at least 5 to 8 walls with graffiti that instagrammers love.

Abbot Kinney Murals & Graffiti Walls
You won’t believe how many graffiti artwork there is along Abbot Kinney, just north of Venice Beach. This street is only a few blocks long, but just off the corner and between establishments are some beautiful graffiti walls. It’ll make you think of some of the Wynwood Walls you see on Instagram in Miami.

Getty Villa
Located in Malibu, entry is free and you just pay for parking. The properly is beautiful. When you’re done, you can stop by one of the many piers LA has to offer and hang out at the beach.

Griffith Observatory
For the perfect sunset, take a car and park it up by the Griffith Observatory. You’ll get a view of the Hollywood sign as the sun goes down. Afterwards, stick around to look through the giant telescope (usually only available during clear nights after rainfall) and look at the breathtaking skyline.

Hollywood Sign
If you don’t want to go up the Griffith Observatory, but would love a clear shot of the Hollywood sign, there are some key spots. Check one out here.

Beverly Hills Hotel
The place where celebrities stay and where people in the business fine. The pink hotel has some adorable outdoor booths. When living in LA, I definitely made a few trips to this pretty spot.

Santa Monica Pier
This place is so pretty during sunset and at night. The sky turns pink and the pier looks so pretty in the background.

Montage Hotel
Ok, so this is actually in Laguna Beach but it’s where you’ll find a fantastic pianist playing at night. Enjoy a drink and a view of the ocean and gorgeous pool here. Great for a relaxing but luxe night.

Mural Walls in West Hollywood

Bougainvillea
When I lived in LA, I literally thought these could be found everywhere but they’re mostly seen in Southern California. You’ll find them along pienty off on the small streets north of Santa Monica and Venice Beach.

Huntley Hotel
I love having happy hour here during the week because you get a perfect view of the sunset from Santa Monica here. Stand by the window and take a photo. Even the bathroom has the best skyline view.

LACMA
One of the most famous instagrammable spots in LA is at the pillars standing in front of LACMA (see blog post of the location here). Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It’s beautiful and so picturesque. The actual art gallery is great, but don’t forget to take a photo outdoor entrance where you’ll find this beautiful display of columns.

Walt Disney Concert Hall
A beautiful concert hall that’s so architecturally stunning. You’ll find tons of people taking photos on location here.
