Michael Costello Couture Bridal NYFW SS18 Collection

I remember watching Project Runway so religiously. I’d hassle my sister to PVR the episodes every week that the show aired, and I specifically remember loving Michael Costello. That man is so talented, he knows exactly how to flatter and dress a woman’s body. So, it should come as no surprise that it’s always one of the collections I look forward to seeing the most. I felt so blessed and was thrilled to receive an invite to his New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring/Summer 2018 (SS18) preview.

Last season, Michael Costello full of beautiful gowns. I sat directly in front of his feature guest – Share Bear from the Care Bears – a sponsor of Michael Costello. It was the cutest thing and Share Bear showed up in every one of my runway shots, but hey, I’m not complaining! I love Care Bears! I mean, how freaking cute!

Michael Costello’s departure from white lace didn’t extend too far for his Spring/Summer 2018 (SS18) Collection during New York Fashion Week (NYFW), however his designs are always exciting, and this couture bridal collection did not disappoint. Continuing with his skilled hand in design, the self-taught designer showed us a wide range of beautiful dresses that included curve-hugging dresses, detailed lace, intricate sequins, flourishing tulle, gorgeous appliqués, sparkling bridal party dresses, and of course, we cannot forget the darling little flower girl princess dress on the little one.

While walking through the gallery showspace, it’s evident that he really designed for all shapes, sizes and styles: lean, curvy, fun, demure, classy, elegant and of course, sexy.

For the couture bridal collection, Costello’s palette includes whites, blues, rose pink, soft blues and heather grays. The rooms with rose & champagne pinks are walls of beautiful flowers. The bridal make up by Inglot was also flowy and on-point for the collection. The various hair styles were done by César using Mizani and Olivia Garden products, pulling the entire looks together. While I am already married, I’d love to wear a few of these to remarry my husband. Bravo, Michael Costello. I already cannot wait to see what you will show us next season.
