One of the most beautiful aspects of living in Los Angeles is that you’re not far away from something that feels like you’re away on vacation. If there is one thing I learned about living in LA, it’s that you can be somewhere that feels like you’re in Miami, or at a resort within the hour – okay, maybe 2 hours because of the infamously bad traffic. Let the wind carry you through the city and you can get some amazing views and experiences all around town making it seemingly easy to feel like you’re away from it all. An overnight stay at a luxurious hotel, a trip to a restaurant or bar overlooking the beach is a great way to make up for lost time. The world is your oyster.
Having spent a lot of time indoors to work and plan, from time to time stepping out like I’m travelling to a resort does the trick. As an adventurous wanderlust who likes to capture pictures of the streets, food and glorious moments, I like to carry a bag that fits my camera. Embroidery is a trend that I’ve loved from afar, and by that I mean I adore the look of it, but didn’t dive head in until I found that je ne sais quoi. I wanted to start off with something special and these shoes were something I instantly fell in love with when I saw them. I really just coveted them for 3 weeks, admiring them on the shelf. Admittedly, I do this with almost all of my accessories. When the purchase is something I’ve longed for, I won’t wear them for many days, sometimes weeks or months!
A match made in heaven, an alluring pair, heaven and earth, sun and moon – these are items that seem to fit so well together. While I don’t often consciously choose to wear matching accessories, this just seemed like a no brainer. And hey, if it feels good, you just have to go for it, right?
I hope you had a lovely weekend! Do you ever buy something and just think it’s too nice to wear immediately? Have you been wearing the embroidery trend? Which are your favourite purchases? I’d love to hear!
