Sorry for the long break between my blog posts! Being on the road for long periods of time has been absolutely amazing, but also incredibly exhausting.  Since the blog is new, there are still many changes to be made and kinks to work out, but I’m so happy to post and share outfits, my travel favorites and fashion tips here. I read a lot of style blogs and love so many blogger styles that I recently took a step back to think about my own.

Over the last few years, my style has changed a bit. If I were to describe it, I’d say it is feminine with a bit of edge.  Even as late as university, I envied people who had faux fur colored boots, silver-dyed hair and expressed outrageous style. And as a kid, I only cared about track and field, cross country running, volleyball, softball and all of the activities I could play, and I dare say, I was good. I went from baggy trackpants, to TLC-style baggy jeans, into a preppy girl and onward to what probably describes my personality most, feminine with a bit of hard edge.  As I get older, I take more risks with fashion and grow more comfortable in my own skin.

Lace is something I constantly have a love affair with. When it’s done well and the lace is nice, it can be very sexy and elegant when styled appropriately.

This jumpsuit bares my shoulders, and the bottom half is neither too short or fitted, so it’s more sweet, than sexy.  Since it’s a jumpsuit and lace doesn’t show wrinkles easily, it was easy to pack for a sunny beach destination.

I’m wearing my ZARA lace up open toe printed snake skin heels again because they’re so versatile and give the outfit a little bit of edginess.  I also find them comfortable to take a stroll around in for a few hours.

Outfit: Playsuit by Alice McCall and now on sale here.
