Copenhagen Fashion Week presents a list of European designers; many which sell at great price points in the attainable luxury market.
While many shows went digital this season, we still got to see some incredible pieces, great designs, and hope at the end of the tunnel. For Fall/Winter 2022, you’ll see current trends carrying through to the next, with a few surprises from some of these brands below. One thing is for sure,
you can be sure that you can look stylish and be cozy at the same time. Below are the best looks of Copenhagen Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2022.
Baum und Pferdgarten
The latest collection named Pursing Polaris is inspired by the northern most place on the planet, as the point of departure for Baum und Pferdgarten’s latest collection, which taps into the arctic north with a contemporary vision of emboldened femininity and the forces of nature. Underscoring Baum und Pferdgarten’s strong and eclectic DNA, the collection is a celebration of colour, texture and pattern that spans polar opposites – flamboyant contrasts and subtle shifts – to make every piece an adventure.
The collection opened strong with a stunning all-red look featuring a quilted padded coat, red socks, heels and high neck knit. There were a few whimsical surprises – a plaid skirt peeking out from under a short coat, a balaclava with sleeveless vest, and an exquisite mini adorned with an abundance of sequins is offered in a soft peach shade redolent of the arctic midnight sun.

Day Birger et Mikkelsen
This collection has effortless sophistication, full of soft knits, and separates that any person can throw together and run out the door knowing they look put together and chic. For AW22, Day Birger et Mikkelsen creative director Christina Exsteen was inspired by “the inherent beauty in women”. In the collection, Exsteen merges glamour and utility, and combines the softness of the knitwear and fluffy scarves with strong shoulders and slouchy coats.

Saks Potts
Catherine Saks and Barbara Potts presented their Fall/Winter 2022 runway show at an Opera House. Known for their faux fur trimmed coats, the brand took a more simplified and practical approach to their collection. The collection opened with a bright green transparent top paired with relaxed leather pants, and it gave it this effortless, edgy, I-don’t-care-what-you-think confidence that any woman would want. The collection consists of great sweater cinched in with a belt, leather separates, skirts at knee and midi-length and rosette enbellishments.

Soulland
This time around, creative director Silas Adler got personal, drawing on an imagined autobiography. Flora and fauna, a recurring print, are distorted, rendered in jacquards and prints and even impossible 3D fabrications. The collection was neutral in color, with pops of orange.

Stine Goya
Titled “Inside Out” this collection introduces a variety of colorful pieces that are reversible. A puffer is floral on one side, and metallic on the other. Until you know and understand that the reversible pieces include silver, the single silver metallic dress that comes down the runway seems displaced, but in actuality, fits well with the collection. Staying true to the brand history, there are some mixed prints and floral jacquard, but the stand-out pieces below are the the bright hues, statement coats, and cozy checkered knitwear.

Soeren le Schmidt
Arguably, one of best presentations for the season would undoubtly be, Soreren le Schmidt. The designer showcased his latest collection on a ride at the carnival amusement park inside of Tivoli Gardens. It offered a wonderful whimsy to a collection that might otherwise be seen as serious, consisting of strong shoulders, structured suiting and mostly monochromatic collection and a dash of petroleum blue. Le Schmidt’s attention to detail can be seen through each piece as you pass through on the ride. The tailoring is absolutely beautiful. There is a sense of loneliness I didn’t expect to feel as I went through, but is well conveyed, as his inspiration is drawn from the feeling of someone that doesn’t belong, yet yearns to fit in. Below are some of the best looks from the collection.
