What I Wore to Miami Swim Week – Part 1

About 2 years ago, Tom and I did that crazy, glorious thing that some couples tend to do, and packed up our things for a 6-week road trip across the United States. Admittedly, the first two times we visited were not our greatest. We arrived in what was considered a rare torrential downpour for full days of rain, with barely a break to see South Beach or any sun, but hey, great company and no injuries only meant I count my blessing because we still had a great time. Since moving to Florida, I’ve visited a couple of times and absolutely loved it. Palm trees, blue ocean water, sandy beaches, endless live latin music and great food? What’s not to love?

When I found out SWIM MIAMI was happening just a few weeks out, I booked a weekend away at Hotel Colonade, as seen in my last post here. You know I have a love for Zimmermann and while I think so many of their dresses are worth the investment, I tend to save more for travel and special splurges. As posted in my Instastories the week before, I purchased this beautiful dress by Zimmermann, and paired it with my Miu Miu bow heels and one of my favourite summer bags (sold out, but links a few cute ones below). My hair is usually completely out of control when it rains or is humid, so I used Moroccanoil travel products, including the Moroccanoil Treatment and then the Styling Cream.

 Of course, there’s something about that warm breeze that catches a flowing dress that screams summer is here. This outfit felt fun, feminine, yet flirty. With a flattering cutout and classic shape, it’s a dress I’ll wear over and over again for this summer and the next. For those interested in purchasing, I’m a size 1, which is like a size 2-4 US or size 8 UK in dresses.

The Miu Miu heels are no longer available, but I am really surprised to find an exact dupe of these for a tiny fraction of what I’ve paid, so I’ve linked them below. Alternatives for the cute ruffle bag I take almost everywhere also linked below!
