During a short drive through the city, Tom spotted this really cute area with a fountain, so we pulled over and hopped out of the car for a stroll. Luckily, it was late in the afternoon, so it wasn’t unbearably hot.

We spent some time relaxing by the fountain. As I stood in front it, I was transported back to when my parents used to give me the loose change from their pockets. Back then, my tiny fingers curled around the coins as I closed my eyes and made a wish before happily tossing the little donation into the water.
Now, with no one in sight I indulged a little, climbed onto the edge and walked around. I still wish for the same things that I did as a child. It’s funny how some things never change. I hope that you’re all reminded of something amazing from your childhood this weekend – one that brings out the child in you and puts the biggest smile to your face.

I love being reminded of something from my childhood, true nostalgia- it’s a great feeling. I was attending an event a few weeks ago and one of the speakers had us close our eyes to think of a time in our childhood where we were truly happy. I pictured my 6th birthday when I received this fairy toy – you had to pull on her string and she would fly, such a happy moment for me =). I loved this post!
