Arm Candy – Jord Wood Watch

We’re finally weeks into summer and I can’t believe how hot it is in Las Vegas.  If you follow me on Snapchat (mikialamode), you’ll have been with me on vacation and seen some of the things I’ve been wanting to buy. I decided to take a plunge on a few items and now bursting with excitement about sharing some of my new arm, foot and beach candy with you, but let’s just go ahead and give you a sneak peek into the first of many!

For the last several months, I’ve been looking for a nice wrist watch.  Now that I’m driving through LA traffic, I need to keep track of time more than ever.  When I’m headed out to a meeting, seeing friends, catching a flight, wandering around town, or running out to an event like a dinner and show as I was in Las Vegas last weekend, I constantly take my phone out to look at the time. It’s not practical to be diving into my large handbag, or even this wooden one to check my phone for the time regularly, especially when I’m in a hurry.  A large handbag is like a black hole for a phone; once it’s in, it’s almost hopeless to find and pull back out.

I wanted a watch with a large face, but one that had some special qualities and this Jord Watch has it!  I love the natural look of wood since there aren’t many like this on the market.  For the woman on the move, something chic, classic and durable is key, and for most of us out there affordability sure doesn’t hurt. The face is made of sapphire glass crystal, which is second strongest to diamond. Don’t you hate it when the face of your watch or the surface of sunglasses scratch? It drives me crazy – especially when it’s an accessory that I should be able to use for a long time!

The sleek look makes it easy to be worn with so many outfits. For this post, I am wearing an Alice & Olivia black halter jumpsuit which bares my back yet has metallic sheen up top – a classic, subtle, yet glam look for Las Vegas that I can wear on more than one occasion.
