If you have ever wondered how the style of an East Coaster differs from a home-bred Californian, it’s most apparent in Fall and Winter. Hardly cold enough to wear the usual city-girl black leather pants, over the knee boots, a classic shirt/turtleneck and faux fur coat back in Canada, I’m constantly looking for pieces that can breath, yet offer feminine comfort.
With the weather fluctuating between high 20’s to mid-30’s in the middle of fall, finding pieces that are feminine, comfortable, breathable, yet great for layering are absolutely perfect. A self-professed addict to everything lace and crochet, and stumbling across one that is combined with one of the season’s hottest trend of oversized sleeves makes this comfortable piece a perfect purchase.
If you’re further south as I am, ankle boots and less accessories are truly ideal. Admittedly, the Canadian in me is hoping for the weather to drop so I could layer this dress with a long, thick cardigan or wool coat, a beanie hat, tall boots and a great statement bag. Comfort and femininity is achievable, and at a great price. Get this dress for under $30 below.

My ankle boots are from a prior season, but I’ve found some affordable similar options below, as well as some similar options to what I’m wearing.
What do you think of a dress like this for the season? How would you wear a dress for Fall to Winter? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

This boho dress is absolutely gorgeous on you babe!! The sleeves are so dramatic 🙂 Your Winter’s sound a bit like ours in Northern Australia. Although warm weather is nice, I do sometimes envy people who can wear nice knitwear etc

This is just the cutest dress ever! I’m really sad that they upped the price since you wrote this, because at less than $30, it would’ve made the perfect holiday dress for my collection haha!

I love when East and West coast styles come together! Although these days they’re starting to look more and more similar, for a long time they were quite different! I’m loving the fusion of style. This dress is perfect for a SoCal winter.

Your dress is so pretty! I’m totally in love with the boho chic vibes. It’s such a perfect transitional piece too because it’s black, which can be paired with anything. I’d probably wear it with a faux fur collared coat, opaque tights, and boots to take it into winter.

You look so elegant!! And I love how you are wishing that you could add your warm cardigan and beanie! I think you will look smashing as well! I like to add a pair of funky tights as well as a leather jacket with a wool cardigan to my dress. But in LA and San Fran it doesn’t get that cold I guess… Big Xx and have a wonderful week – http://bagatyou.com

I am so into bell sleeve dresses lately. This look would be perfect for Texas fall/winter as we never get too cold like East Coast or in Canada. This flowy dress has that boho chic which is also one of my favorite trends lately. You look absolutely amazing girl!
