Summer Fashion with Macy’s 1.STATE #AD

The temperature are rising, and it feels like summer is already here! If you’re taking advantage of the summer weather and going from work to dinner, or hopping from one place to another, you’re probably leaving little time to change. Finding a summer fashion piece that can translate well from one occasion to another is so valuable to have in your wardrobe. You all know I love Macy’s. I always wanted them to open in Toronto so that I could sift through the racks back when I lived there. While I did browse the website frequently, I made sure to stop into Macy’s every opportunity I could when I crossed the border. It should be no surprise that now I live in the US, it’s a place I regularly shop.

Macy’s is a great place to find beauty products, accessories, as well as stylish and affordable outfits. Just as the weather starts to warm up, we get so excited about all the fresh summer prints, we sometimes overlook classic and modern summer pieces that are not only feminine, but great vairious occasions. When I saw this 1.state Ruffled Faux-Wrap Dress, I knew I’d be wearing it often.  The ruffle hem and sleeves are a really nice feminine touch.

Below are two ways I’ve styled this summer dress.

STREET CHIC
I thought it would be fitting to style the dress in two ways. Above is my outfit for a day in the city. The suit trend is huge this year and many of you probably already own a blazer.  The white boots add a little edge to this look and finally, a nice bag and accessories will really play up the entire look.

BEACH BEAUTY
Enjoying a meal by the pier, ocean or beach is one of the perks of summer. I know many of you are planning to go to the cottage, road trip or trip to a beautiful destination, so I’ve styled this look with poolside or beach-side days in mind. By adding a woven bag, a pair of statement earrings and summer slides from your closet, you will get the perfect casual weekend look.
