I’m ready to catch a cool breeze off the water and if there’s anything I would ever choose to wear, it’s a skin-baring dress that allows the fresh air to caress my back and arms as the skirt of my dress dances through the wind while exploring in the Bahamian heat.
For a moment, I’m transported back to when I was only a 6 year old girl who felt like princess of the playground in a full skirt dress stuffed with tulle. Can you blame me? With the way maxi dresses flow and move with the wind, it’s no wonder people everywhere buy them again and again.
Deliriously happy, I felt a little giddy and playful. After a day at the beach, meeting new friends and discovering some of the most delicious food we had in Nassau, Tom and I dipped our toes into the crystal clear water as the daylight resided into the darkness.
For what was only a few days, this felt like a beautiful lengthy solitude. Short trip, but long lasting impact – these are moments we live for.
