How to Transform Your Bag into a Runway Inspired One for Under $100

October 6, 2016

zara-embellished-bagRunway trends often inspire so many street style looks, and one that I absolutely adore the Fendi embellished bags.  You might have seen an inspired Fendi bag on my shoulder while I was in Palermo where I discussed How to Style an Accordian Skirt, and again in Canada in my post for 15 Velvet Pieces Under $100 to Add to Your Wardrobe. I am obsessed with these pretty little embellished flowers, but I’m not Warren Buffett – I just don’t have millions of dollars sitting around ready to spend on every beautiful bag I fall for.

zara-embellished-strap-bagzara-embellished-bag-detailWhen I found this bag, I really loved the embellished strap. It comes with an extra black one so I can interchange them for days that I want it look more classic. I couldn’t find this one I own available online anymore, so I scoured the web to find some amazing pieces inspired by Fendi and Valentino that work with your existing bag. The beautiful thing about these bag strap options are that if you travel a lot, you’ve essentially created two new looks in one, without taking up extra space in your luggage, and if you don’t, you’ll have updated your bag to be trendy without spending thousands of dollars.  The most beautiful part about this?  You get to create a bag that is runway inspired, and it’ll be unique, so no one else will own one like yours.

How to Get an Embellished Bag Inspired by Fendi & Valentino:

Add an embroidered strap for under $100 with any of these options.  Each of these have lead to a shopping link if you’d like to see them in closer detail.

Bag Straps for Under $100

The options I provided above are really affordable options for achieving similar looks to the original runway looks below. These Valentino & Fendi are really beautiful, and I’ve included images of their products.

What do you think of this trend?  Do you like the embellished bag or strap?  I’d love to hear.  Let me know in the comments below.

I love the idea of switching out the straps of a bag to create a whole other look, it’s something I’ve never thought of before; thanks so much for suggesting it! Your selection here is so lovely and inspiring! Thanks again for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you’re having the best week so far!

Thanks Jalisa! I’m so glad you enjoyed this. I love the Valentino straps, but I know I’d much rather buy their bag, shoes or even a belt over a strap, so I thought this would be a nice alternative. 🙂 I hope you have a beautiful week, babe.

I agree! I love this idea. I had previously thought of how everyone was adding stickers and patches, but I really didn’t want to put them on a bag incase I wanted to remove them. This is so much easier. 🙂 Thanks Ramona!
